If you are a vespa rider and someone told you to "get the fuck off my arse" and then to "fuck off" this morning, you should be aware that after some consideration, I realise this may have caused you some offence. Now I am not sorry about this, but you should know that it has been on my mind today.

Tight road, very close for filtering on the outside into oncoming traffic, on my inside a Vespa with ET emblazoned on the front, L plates etc, right up my arse, on my inside. I thought at first the rider was just staying in my mirrors, but then realised she (it transpired the rider was female) was trying to undertake me before a roundabout coming up. I swinged over to the left to shut the door (yes, I am like that), then pulled to the right and sure enough she did undertake, as she drew level I gave my aforementioned speech and to my displeasure heard a very feminine "What?"

I understand this isn't exactly a picture of 2 wheeled solidarity and at some considerable danger to myself, I let out some anger on the throttle (to show who's boss, like). A fag or two later I begin to feel like a tool. The point is, I don't like people up my arse at all, I didn't like it at Bikesafe when the copper sits that close, but that's a copper and not an L plated moped. I give this wonderful story as my gift to BCF. You're welcome.

Mine wasn't too bad, but I've seen others where I'm sure the cop sitting in a straight line behind the rider would barely have enough reaction time to start braking before they hit the rider, never mind braking enough to slow down?

Not very often I have some one up my arse filtering; if I did, I'd let them passed Smile.
