I went to the ally pally today and despite being one of those that thought it might be great...i have to say it was a bit crap

Don't know what to say or where to start really, i know it was the first day, it was friday (so people at work etc) but there seemed to be very few people there, the food was bad, there wasn't much of an atmosphere, the stalls were pretty much those that visited the NEC, but with just the remainder of the stock, prices seemed higher and the bit that annoyed me most was the fact that the second hand bike section consisted of TWO BIKES!!! I was assured that on following days there would be more, but on the noticeboard which announces the bikes there were only 8-10 bikes listed. It also took my friend and I 30 minutes to find it, because the guides didn't know anything about it!!! Add to that the fact that there were no manufacturers displaying, so no stands with bikes to sit on, there was a display of current bikes, but provided by a third party and secured behind a barrier.

There were some positives, the transport links were good from the tube and were also free and the stunt bike demo was quite good and was also free (unlike the NEC)

If i had the same choice again (and i don't) i would advise all to save their money and go to the later LMS instead, i think it costs a bit more, but has to be better than the ally pally
