Well, been looking for a 400 for a while now. and one popped up in the paper. good condition £1100 ono.

so we went to look at it.

its in pretty damn good condition, runs superb, sounds great - just looks gay Laughing

Got him down to £1000, with the standard exhaust too, not sure what exhaust is on there now.

Can't touch the thing now because im away for a week doing a driving course Sad

Nice bike man. Cool

Those crash bungs on it look very similar in style to the ones I had. When I lowsided the bike they buckled causing the part of the fairing they were attached to to crack / bend. Probably caused more damage then if I had not had them! Just a warning. Thumbs Up

its longer than the 600rr Laughing

the reach is realy far, and the pegs are quite high and far back. realy feels like your part of the bike when your riding it. and the best part is i can still touch the floor Laughing

looking through the service history/mot certs, last year it had an advisory on the rear shock. i did notice it was quite spongy when i sat on it. thats the only thing about it mechanically that needs sorting.

bargain Very Happy

those crash bungs are going, will be getting some R&G from the next show i go to probably. the ones on it now look like the cheap crap ones you see on ebay alot.

Indeed Memento, I have one myself and they are cracking. That particular model and the one for the year after are the last ones that weren't factory restricted to 56 bhp, those are 59 i believe.

They were the lightest fastest 400 on the market at the time, mine handles fantastically, so i expect that should too. It will probably do about 130 mph maybe more if you tweak it a tad for a grand thats in excellent condition.

I have to say i was dubious about buying an older Suzuki having low expectations of the build quality, but i have to admit i was wrong these machines are fantastic, especially if you look after it.

Personally i like the purple and silver colours, mines black and yellow, hence the 'Bee', great buy i'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

It's purple, so do you know what this means! Don't ever let Jordan get near your bike Cool Laughing . I can see that the previous owner already tried to "Jordan the bike up" with the pegs and wheels lol. Should make an east midlands small sportsbike group soon, where anything above 400cc is excluded Razz (and so is anything below 249cc)
