want to upgrade the standard can on my gixxer 600 SRAD. what is the best can to go for, some one who does work on my bike can supply viper cans. are these any good. im only really after a bit of extra grunt sound on my bike, not interested in absolutely blistering extra BHP and so on. any other suggestions.

The 2 race cans I've had have been stonkingly deep, burbly and loud.

The ZXR had a Yoshi and the FZR had a Leo Vince. Although the FZR was less cc, it sounded like a F1 car and could wake the dead when starting Laughing It also back fired like a bitch on the overrun Shocked

i used to have a neighbour who had an fzr600 with a vance and hines can on, my god it was loud. I've never heard anything like it in my life. I loved the sound, but theres no way i could have put up with it on a long trip and i would have worried when riding it in built up areas. The bike had been tuned by a guy called dave leach who used to race at the tt in the early 90's.

Some of the Vipers are good for the money, just a basic can but offer a no-frills boost to sound.

There Stubby Micro Oval sounds brill on bandits! Laughing

The basic alloy rounds are a little cheap lookin, so i would spend the extra and get titanium or carbon as they are much better.

Just make sure it doesn't have "Not for road use" on the can and that it has a removable baffle, so you can take it out for ultra loudness, but when plod or MOT'er wants to see your exhaust it will still pass with the baffle in! Very Happy

If you are on a bit of a tight budget Carbon Can Co do decent quality exhausts quite cheaply. Smile
