CBR600RR - 2006 vs. 2007 (which looks better?)

I don't know about you, but I think Honda have made a boo boo with the looks.

I mean, the front on the 2007 model looks like its been stuck on with masking tape. It doesn't quite look part of the bike.

However, I must admit it is growing on me by the day.....

The front on the '07 just look too odd and the mirrors look too small as well.

I like the way the exhaust sticks out in the '06 model.

Looks more raw.

The '07 one looks like it's been put together in a Lab by wind-tunnel experts and other assorted white-coat-wearing technicians.

There isn't an awful lot of fairing on the 07 model is there? Bit too much like the GSX-R for me so 06 model would be my choice

has anyone else noticed how sportsbikes seem to be gradually loosing the side fairings? the 06 R6 is just like that 07 cbr, little bits of fairing instead of a full piece

Actually I had a proper look/sit on an 07 at the bike show and it is a hellova lot better in the flesh and with the 10mm higher bars its more comfy than my bike.
I am very happy with my choice though, and to be honest all the 600's are cool just wanna pace myself and look forward to a litre bike in the future (maybe a GSXR750 on the way up )

As I said in another threa,d I was in honda today and looking, the 07 is vile, I think it's actually uglier than the r6...

mainly becaust the panels dont seem to gel togehter, too cut up and you can see daylight through the fairings (esp by downpipes)


me no like, It looks deformed or like an 06 bike with down syndrome...

also honda seem to have a running rnadom theme with just stopping 'lines' ie the blade don't know model.. 2001? the frame just vanishes.. I know it's mounted to engine so doesn't matter but in my head I need to see it.. so the 07 cbr6 has a gap between sidepanel and nose cone...

big from me, though I do think last years was starting to look dated and the side panels a little slabby when standing next to gsxr's and new r6's
