Eww digital rev counter Sick

I will have to agree about the Mille, the mechanic at the garage has one and it sounds the TITS. Now sure what exhaust he has on it though.

And when he starts it up in the mot bay (its like a brick warehouse with a tin roof) it sounds like hell itself Laughing

Saw a 1098 yesterday, i was sat at the traffic lights just about to pull up to funland (a lot of bikes go there on sunday, but some go on saturday) and i saw the back end sticking out from behind a CBR6, i though nah that can't be a 1098, but it was! it really is a lovelly peice of kit, now i wish i had 14k to spare Sad lol.

Ducati's sound horribe, i'm guessing a race can is just for the performance on thse types of bikes. I want a bike to sound like a bike, not a car about to fall apart.

Totally agree, it's a pile of turd. Mechanical tachos look the bizz and are easiest to read imo.

That'll be why it's the same unit as used in the motogp bike then.

Because obviously, your average posing road ducati rider is far more demanding and knows more about whats best for a bike than someone like Capirossi.

Difference is, that exhaust on the Ducati is the factory standard one and not an aftermarket one. How does the dustbin sized standard can on the Mille sound in comparison?

Your opinion of course, in my view and many would agree, that Ducati sounds EXACTLY how a bike should, and not like a chavved up clio Very Happy

they do have a lovely sound. you don't expect it from a sports bike.
on a ride out we went to some shop that had a demo model 1098s (i think) that a guy was taking out on a ride. it was so loud and had so much bass it set my alarm off Laughing

Dustbin size cans on the older models yes, not the newer ones.
