Video Editing Software

[Kickstart]

Hi

Any suggestions on some half decent video editing software.

I have a copy of Pinnacle Studio 9 already. And find it pretty clunky and not good to use. And I want to overlay one video onto another (chroma effect they call it), for which you need the plus version, and it seems they will only do the upgrade to Studio 10.5 Plus at about $60. Not inclined to pay anything like that much for software which I find very unintuative.

So, what is good to use, can capture video via firewire and can do "blue screen" video overlays?

I have Adobe Premiere Pro and a few plugins that bring it up to make a small movie production.

May want to look into it

110% premier or if you can afford it and learn how to use it Avid.


Anybody manged any PS edits with their stock and then exported it to premier? I seem to be having lots of problems with skipping frames!

Seems to be 3 votes for Premier. As standard can it do chroma effects?

How reliable is it? Being honest reliable is one thing that Pinnacle Studio is.

i use sony vegas as it uses less system resources and has better sound editing options.

At the end of the day its user prefence. Download the 30 day trials to see what u like!

I usually go by, Pc= Premier pro, Mac= Final cut pro.
Premier can do chroma key, make sure its the right tone of colour.
