Cool. I was a little shocked the previous person who got caught got 5 months in jail. Shocked

Also I bet he did not just walk in and resign, I would say they forced/asked him to resign.

172mph, I wonder if the porches go any faster!

I know it's irresponsible but it would be kinda cool to hold the title.

depends on the road and time, if it is empty and night time, worst case scenario he will only injure himself,

good effort,

I dont think I would want that atal due to the cost of getting that title.....5 months in jail, probably lose your license. Getting insurance on a car would be interesting after that. "Any convictions sir?" "Yes, got caught doing 170 in a stolen Porche!" "hmm, ok sir, that will be £2000 TPO." Laughing

Would be interesting to know what he gets offered on his next insurance(if atal).

Didn't the dude get done for faster on his ZX12R that time?

Neil Bolger and Can't remember the other blokes name.

{edit}
Quote:
Bikers jailed for excessive speed (15/07/03)

Two motorcyclists who were recorded overtaking a lorry at 157mph (the highest speed ever recorded by police on a British road) and 148mph, have been jailed for 28 days by Aylesbury Magistrates.

Andrew Osborne, of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, was caught speeding on his 1200cc Kawasaki motorbike on the busy A412 Tingewick bypass near Buckingham in March this year. The 29-year-old had been riding with a friend, 29-year-old Neil Bolger, who was riding a Kawasaki 750cc.

The two vehicle technicians, who both work for the same company, had pleaded guilty to dangerous driving at an earlier hearing.

Bench chairman David Thomas told Osborne and Bolger they would only serve half of their sentence in prison and the rest would be suspended.

Both Osborne and Bolger were also each disqualified from driving for two years and told they would have to take an extended re-test at the end of that disqualification before they could drive again.

Did 140 past an unmarked police car once, coming the other way. Already had it's lights on, but I'll be buggered if I was stopping, don't fancy the prison time. Shocked Laughing

Was doing a ton along the lower brighton road once, by the scrap yard, and saw blue lights ahead, copper had pulled someone over, so accelerated past, and hoped for the best. Mr. Green

Yeah, it's all about getting out of sight, then hiding on someone's drive and watching them scream past...

I got pulled by an unmarked cop doing between 110/120 on the M1 on my way back from Donington Park about 15 years ago.
I was crapping myself as I pulled over. The Cop just gave me a bollocking and told me to go elsewhere if I wanted to do those sort of speeds!.
I expect this guy will get sent down, although I find that rather stupid considering there's no space in the prisons. No doubt they'll let some murderer or rapist out early to make way for him. Mad

I passed a policecar that was parked in the hard shoulder on the M40 at just under 130mph in a car. Needless to say I dived off the motorway at the next junction (about four miles of brown trouseredness away).

Still, 172mph is impressive, but he's got to be going down. Speeding issue aside, he's looking at taking a car without permission and driving without insurance.
