Yeah it was great today. Could do with the sun a little higher in the sky and a few degrees warmer, though.

But maybe I'm a wimp.

You can't complain it is only just February after all. Normally at this time of year we are besieged by rain, frost, maybe a bit of ice and snow and generally shit cold weather.

My bike doesn't normally some out until late March or April, but I had it out three times in January this year. This global warming business is great isn't it! Very Happy

This is actually a very weird early February. You can actually feel the heat of the sunshine beam on your face and your back. It is stupidly warm, today I was walking with just a shirt and thin coat and I was sweating just walking.

The other day I smelt cut grass for the first time. I'm feeling all summery in the midst of winter. Confused

Winter riding - its great.
Can see through the trees and see sights hidden in summer and therefore able to see through bends as well.
Much less traffic on the road
Improves skills like being gentle with the controls and being smooth on the slippery sufaces.
Coping with those little slides
Planning ahead for the changing road conditions , wet patches on bends, mud etc.
We have rode just about every Sunday this winter doing between 100-150 miles and I know my skills have improved so much.

This weather is superb!
Had a lovley ride to Stourport yesterday with my friends, parked up at an off-road scrambler/Quad bike track. Then had anohter lovley ride to Bromsgrove today. Smile
And although i have used it everyday this year for college journey's and for visiting family etc etc, it still puts a mahooosive grin on my face! Even though my top speed is 50 Laughing ...It's all about the twisties Very Happy

Great to hear Chris. Its not the size of the bike its what inside you that matters. Long may you enjoy your riding.

It's cause we're in an anticyclone the pressure is to high for there to be any clouds, so all we're left with is the sun, and because of the pressure winds are low.

The problem with no clouds is the heat from the sun goes straight back up and away, that is why it gets so cold at night.

If I remember rightly depressions tend to follow anti-cyclones which means bad weather is coming.
