R1 may be 10ft ahead at from 45-120 (or whatever they were doing) but I'd still prefer a supra over an r1.

Can't imagine a 'modded' Supra keeping up with a 600cc sportbike. I've killed everything that's dared rev it's engine at me, including a Viper. Twice.

Only car ive ever had trouble with is a modded Supra.

Off a roundabout no problem.

Slowed down and waited for him to catch up so i was at about 40 in 2nd, once i see him close in my mirrors i opened up, by the time my revs picked up he was about 3 car lenghts ahead, by the time i was reading about 155 on the speedo i was about 1 car lenght ahead. Closest ive came too loosing

Modified supras can achieve massive horsepowers, only be virtue of crude and oversized turbocharging, but in the right circumstances (ie dropping a gear from a rolling start) the turbo will produce full power and it will pull well.

Some Americans get them up to around the 1,000bhp mark.

Of course, from a standing start the turbo will do nothing what so ever, hence the roll-on.

If it is stock internally (doubt it) it must be on the limit. Plus there's another £5000 down in the bolt on bits. I like to give fast cars their dues but he must have at the very least 450bhp to keep up with the R6.

Supras, they are the only car i really like. They were built by Toyota for one thing and one thing only and that was to beat a Ferrari. Modded these things can go.

I have seen a few of these leaving me stranded in a 1 to 1 on the roads. Crazy.

I was once racing one (on a private road of course) once I maxed at 145ish adn he went by me like I was at a stand still. My ego battered and dropping off the power with my tail between my legs. I needed a confidence boost. so I found its little brother once(Toyota MR2) and I made him eat my dust.

Did you watch all the videos, there are ones on there with the Supra and the R1 busa and the ZX12R.

Still that is one hell of a fast car, you can see when he accelerates the front of the car lifts up like a bike. Great find!

hmmm kinda sweet but it cant keep up with a not far from stock r1 and how much has been spent on it the turbo alone has got to be wort as much as the r1!!
