Ok quick question...
2001 SV650 in red, Naked version.
Can the fairing and headlights from the SV650S of the same year be fitted to the naked model to make it faired? Or is there some kind of kit that an aftermarket company makes?

I dont think it's as simple as that.
The 'S' had clip on style handle bars where as the naked has 'sit up and beg' style. I think you'd need to replace the handle bars and the top yoke (or whatever it is the bars attach to).
Also, you might want to think about the speedo/clocks. I dont know if the faring will simply fit over the existing ones...

I can say for definate the same is true for the curvies. You'll need the front fairings with twin headlights, top yoke, remote brake reservoir, clip-on handle bars, footrests and mirrors. Might also need some work done on the loom for the extra headlight. TBH for all the hassle, why not just get the S model in the first place?

It was just a question regarding it 
The reason im not going for the faired model, is because the faired model isnt one that has come up, the naked one has.
And yeah don, im definately looking at one

Red is a good colour. . . .better than blue. Unfaired is nicer than faired.

I think either go Naked or Fully Faired, Most of the "sport" models... SV650S, Bandit S are two examples, they seem somewhat pretentious to me...
Naked/fightered bikes look far better than the rather flabby attempt fielded by "S" versions... IMHO.
Will be interesting to compare the Bandit against the SV... Anyone got real stats on that? not just manufacturers claims...
EDIT: And oh yea. red naked bikes FTW anyday!  |

Never had a red bike before.
Ive got Red/ish Kevlars for my Speedway Racing and and Orange helmet, had a Green jacket... but Red and Bikes is a new one on me
