Hi,

Had my very first off today, rather annoying.

Coming into work and just about to park, apply the front brake and it locks on a small patch of snow.
Cue screech, "i can save it....i can.......no i cant" and putting the bike down Razz
Only damage is the left indicator is broken, and the bar holding it on is ever so slightly bent, very easy re-bend.

Bah, over a years rideing without a hiccup, and the snow finally claims me Laughing

Correction, '98 R1. All other R1's are inferior in the way of the snow.

My bad, Get a 98 R1, it is used in Sweden & Norway to clear snow off the roads because its presence alone performs miracles!

I heard that too.

I also hear that Rome is thinking of knocking down the colosseum and replacing it with a marble statue of the 98 R1.....

In my local area, the council have been riding round on 98 R1s, as they sheer power from the exhausts clears the roads of snow.

FFS, leave that front brake alone! Engine braking and a touch of back to actualy stop you.

Same for my area too, where the heat generated by the 98 R1's brakes melt the snow and ice for 500 metres in every direction.
