I had it for 05-06 with my insurance policy, it automatically renewed even though I've changed break down recovery,

is this the AA's mistake or my insurers? are they just paying for it in a direct deibt kind of way?

does this mean I get another years cover..?

I'm asking now as the bike's battery is dead and I may well get stranded if it cuts out on me for any reason or fails to start.

I've had a look on google for a site where I can check the status of my cover, ringing isnt an opstion as Ive got a PAYG phone and it'll cost a fortune to ring and sit in a que.

any one help?

Buy a new battery and avoid breaking down.

Arn't we clever, contending with Colin for captain obvious award?

I'm at uni.. I need to get the bike started to get it 84 miles home where I have allen keys and spanners to get the battery off and put the new one which is at a bike shop near home, on.

*refunds coin

try again mi dear Razz

Buy a set of cheap allen keys and spanners. Unless you are in some remote part of the world you will be within a couple of miles of a bike shop that will flog you a battery (They may even let you use a couple of tools if you are nice to them).

As for stating the obvious, is it not more sensible to prevent your bike breaking down rather than relying on someone to get you out of the shit when it does? Is an 85 mile ride on a dubious machine sensible in winter during snow?
