I was initially thinking of upgearing the monkey (by a bigger front and smaller rear) to give it a little more top end grunt, but was worried about the comprimise in acceleration, which for a small bike aint half bad
Seen some NOS systems for a few quid that may add a little va-va-voom
eBay
There are ones at half this price that dont include the filter.
So, would they be any good for short blasts and for hooning through traffic?
The 'instructions' are supposidly simple and can be fitted in minutes, but where would the end of the tubing go? The carbs, but where?
As its only a small cannister, would the detremental effects be lesser than a full system on a much larger bike?
The thing that confuses me the most, is how the hell do you hold the bottle and the bars at the same time and still have control of the bike when the button is pressed ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

TBH, I dont think that Youtube will accept snuff films
I seems that the bottles will last for 20-30 seconds depending on how long you hold the trigger, with 10 bottles for less than a fiver, could be worth a laugh. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

Haha, good idea that, mini-moto NOS. What ever next?
Anyway to get any meaningful power increase you'll need a larger volume of nitrous, and extra fuel to go with. I suspect downgearing would be a better mod. ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |

They look like the identical canisters to those quick tyre pump up kits you can buy.I reckon thats just oxygen. ____________________ Check out our tackle shop on Facebook:

They are real N2O, the canisters are identical looking to powerlets for air rifles, but they are intended for use with whipped cream dispensers. You will be able to decide amount of boost/length of time by jetting the end of the line if you so wish. All I would worry about with a kit like this is that since you are injecting N2O with no additional fuel, all the time you are injecting your "NOS" you will be running mega lean. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

From what I've heard they don't work very well (mostly make the bike bog down) - also the advert suggests they don't know what they're talking about.
There's some pages somewhere for guidelines to make DIY N2O kits; worth a google.
There's plenty of tuning parts and knowledge around for 'standard' tuning of those engines; I'd go down that route myself (or just get a proper bike ). |

I would absolutely love to see the video with this beauty in action. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. £2k would go nicely towards a proper bike or the SRAD I've wanted for ages now
Dont really know much about performance parts to be honest, cams just control the inlet valves for better fuel / air / spark combos dont the, hence the slight increase in power? ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |
