Does anyone wear a ROOF DAYTONA helmet?

I fancy the look of them, a little bit different, especially in the Orange or Green colours!

How do they fit? What are they like compared to other helmets you’ve worn?

I had the lemans, which is the same lid, different colour scheme.

Really quiet lid, very comfy, not the lightest, but race proven. Fit is a problem for some people, the medium I had was slightly too large for my head, so could've done with a smaller size in this particular lid.

Have to emphasize, its VERY quiet.

Paint tends to chip easily however

What sort of cost is it? I have a black RAID2 and its noisy as hell. Turn your head slightly to one side and you get a whistle from the wind. Quality fit though. I'm not keen on having a black helm, I'd rather be very visible.

I have seen them from £145 - £245 quid all advertised as the same helmet.

roof helmets are poo, don't ask i've been selling them for 3 years, did you realise you can get an ARAI for the same money? (arai condor) no one will argue that they are the safest helmets in the world

I will. Their quality is behind the likes of shoei definately. And the ventilation and visor mechanism is second rate Confused

Hardly changed since the '90's really.

i was talking about the safety side, not the visor or ventilation

I will admit that i wear shoei's only and that the reason is arai's visor is either up down, and feels more flimsy than a shoei visor

shoei's helmet models are newer designs than arai's, but i think that its because Mr arai junior is about to retire and he's saving his cash for his retirement instead of investing in new model design

Just saying, I believe more modern helmet designs to be safer, as Arai dont appear to update or innovate anymore Wink think they've been overtaken by the likes of shoei and agv (at least in terms of the more expensive models)

I've got a Roof R020, I like it, compared to my AGV it's awesome.

I'm not fussed about buying helmets because racers wear them, if they're made good, fit good and look good then it's all good Smile

I use a Roof Daytona and have no problems with the quality or quiteness, whether it stands up to a spill I would'nt like to test.

looks good with black visor tho

Go try some on!

Ram_doom seems a tad biased, not developed? depends how much ye spend - put a price on yer heid?

I`ve tried Shoei, Arai and a Roof Daytona.

Roof visor was advertised as mist free, utter shite.

Now solely sticking to Arai. New PinLok system is fantastic and yes they do PinLok for other lids. Arai feels more plush / secure than my Roof.
