Going to look at one a bit later. It's a '00 on a X plate if it makes a difference.
Anything in particular that i should look out for on said hornet?
Thanks. ____________________ You ain't a has been if you never was |

Not really, cam chains have been known to rarely go, but that's about it. ____________________ My Flickr |

Worth checking out https://www.hondahornet.co.uk/
I got a verbal extended guarantee on the engine when I bought my 1999 T reg... He said the engine is bulletproof... |

Is it faired or unfaired? The CB600S is the faired version, the CB600F is the unfaired version. Odd I know
These machines are solid. The gears are cklunky tho, so take it for a ride and do some short shifts from first to second. If the machine hasn't been cared for, this is where I'd expect there to be some problems with the gears sticking between 1/2.
A general check of the downpipe and engine components for rust is worth it.
I have a 51 plate biki faired modelwith a bellypan and extended front guard, plus a rear hugger (pyramid kit). They are lovely bikes and very forgiving. A bugger to get started on a cold morning though unless you hold the throttle open a bit
Good luck with it if you buy it
Edit: yes froggeh, bulletproof Small tank though, can only get about 120 miles out of it. Still, thats only just over £10 worth |

Everyone seems to say "watch out for the 16" front wheel"...
Personally I had a 98 model and couldn't have imagined it handling better so it's a load of gobbelty goop. |

It's a faired one.
Can't say I'm too keen on the fairing myself. Could be good for distance though. Easy enough to convert to naked? No differences in chassis as far as I'm aware?

Great little bikes
The 16 inch front wheel handles great and looks better in my opinion. But I really hate having it now because hardly anyone does tyres for a 130/70/16 . I really wanted to try some Road Attacks next but they don't do the front wheel.Oh well, Pirellia Diablos are still damn good
However if you're getting a faired one I'm 99% sure they all came with a 17" front tyre. |

Pilot roads are a good 16 inch front option as well.
My dad was looking at buying that CB1300 paint scheme. ____________________ My Flickr |
