I was going to go out this weekend and buy one, but is there any reason i shouldn't?
I mean, is there going to be a price drop anytime soon?

i got mine from game for £320 with 2 games. i chose cod 3, test drive unlimited and i alsp picked up moto gp.
just get one, play it, and enjoy Thumbs Up

auctions like that, that are listed as pre approved bidders are done with a price like that because it's still kinda high that you'd believe it's real, but so low that you think you'd be stupid not to go for it.

the seller will email you back saying that the xbox has already sold and he's forgotten to take the auction down, and that should you want one you should go to this referal site.

I'm selling mine for £310 inc delivery. it's got the xtreme mod to play backups & i have 9 games with it. Also has the £20 HD/VGA cable & all the wires, headset etc etc. Hardly played it, i got it just before xmas.

I got mine from e-bay. Its perfectly safe if you take your time. Buy from a seller that uses actaull images not stock Microsoft ones like the one you posted.
Also look at feedback, have they sold other 360's over a number of weeks to people with feed back for a varaty of items over a long time period.
I ended up paying £230 for a priemum box. Yeah its not mega cheep but saved some wedge compared to the shop.

Feedback doesn't mean anything on ebay, theres alot of account thefts where people use others account to list item. But if you can find a genuine sale then you're gonna get a good deal.
Also ask the seller if you can collect it, if they say no then i'd steer clear.

Dial a phone in the paper do Contracts, And give away free consoles with the contract phone.
Its not a scam because Tmobile/voda/o2 etc do exactly the same contract with the same tarrifs, For the same price, But dont give the consoles out with them.

There the same, look on a few games sites they have split screen on a few games like Fight Night & Tiger Wood to show the diffrence, & there isn't any. The PS3 is slightly brighter, that's about it.

For live gold there is a charge. About £30 or something a year. Well worth it though. There are a fair few game updates on there (new cars, bug fixes and the like), lots of demos and stuff and your able to play online.

Each game you get has a number of achivements you can go in the game. Each of these achivements is worth a number of points. When you do the task in the game, you get that number of points added to your gamer score.

See here for an example.

Some games have easier achievements than others. Fight Night and King Kong are pretty much the two easiest games going to get the achievements unlocked.

The achievement part of Live is pretty pointless, you don't unlock anything you just get a gamer score which is good if you're one of those competative types but for someone like me it's usless.

I've got dead rising, i don't know what the fuss is about.

I find the controls a bit clumsy and annoying that im on a time limit with everything.

I've just got past the bit where there's some prisoners in a Hummer, i couldnt kill them because i had no guns or anything.
I got a pistol but no ammo.

How do i kil them, is there a gun shop?

Will the game get better?

I understand gamer score now, some of the updates look good.
Like with Test Drive Unlimited you can down load car packs and stuff!! Very Happy

I wrote out a long walkthrough but it didn't post, server dropped Mad

Heres the basics:

a) Grab katana
b) Kill gunner when hummer gets stuck on tree just slash like a madhead.
c) Kill the other two in the same way, drive round until hummer breaks, grab gun off back.
d) Go to North Plaza and find the gun shop, check your map.
e) After cutscene, run out, dispose of zombies and kill owner with the big gun.

The controls aren't clumsy and the time limit is part of the game, you don't have infinite time in a situation like that.

The fuss is deserved. Great game.
