Hi,

Well as some may know i recently had a low side on my bike and it may just be me but once or twice when breaking ive noticed its not as responsive as it used to be. As i said it may be me leaving the breaking a bit late or just not breaking as effectivly as the breaks are still pretty good.

Question is i suppose could it have been possible for air to get in the break lines when the bike was on its side? Theres no damage to the breaks what so ever and no fluid leaking but just wanted piece of mind really.

Oh and if there is when bleeding the front do you bleed both calipers at the same time?

Cheers

Chris

Hi

While air could get in there (probably most likely if the bike fell on the right and you pulled the brakes while it was lying on its side), this would be there all the time, rather than just once or twice. The brakes would be spongy.

If they feel not as responsive, as you say, then I would look elsewhere for the problem (although any serious fix elsewhere would mean bleeding the brakes anyway).

All the best

Keith

I think this is were my lack of riding experiance comes into play as im not sure if their spongy or not. Its only occasionly ive noticed and i usually rely on my engine for alot of the breaking so im guessing the lines are ok.

The bike went down on the left and once i hit the ground was thrown clear of the bike so can be reasonable sure that the brake was not pulled when on its side.

If i do notice their bad i will bleed the system, cheers for the help gives me piece of mind Thumbs Up
