Yeahh my first ride out since the end of October also.

I do ride to work daily, but thats only 4 miles in a 30 zone.

There were lots of bikes out, must have seen about 10.

Was a bit rusty on the old twisties and I was overtaken (by a bike), but I still didn't trust the grip too much, and I wasn't leaning too far either.

But fun none the less!!

Well the best I have done is sit on the bike in the garage, cant bend my knee past 90degrees since I broke it, so can't even get my foot on the peg yet. Sad

I wont be coming out for a while. Shocked

Sympathies for your knee! I have just returned from my first proper ride today (apart from the short distance to collect when buying) since I crashed out 8.5 years ago. Tore my medial and cruciate ligaments, which never healed well. Damn cold, and I really need a screen, but there's nothing like a bit of overbanding to bring it all back.

90 degrees is not good but can you not set your up bike so as to accommodate your injury? I had a stuffed knee a couple of years ago and rigged a bar to rest it on and a bit of conduit to give me a hand change ( this was on my 39 bike that is normally foot change, the 1930 is hand change but needs a bump start and no matter of ingenuity could sort that on a solid knee!). Many things are possible with the right degree of stupidity and attitude.
