Using Car NCB on my bike???

Hi all,

Started getting quotations for my 636 and it's coming in at about 500 quid a year so far for Comp.

I sold my car last August to buy my SV and had 5 years NCB on the car. Now I'm sharing my wife's car, and her policy is for a learner driver so I'm added to that and therefore my NCB aren't taken into account.

Can I use my 5 years car NCB on the bike insurance? And will my accident in Jan affect my car NCB even though I hadn't assigned my NCB to the SV?

You will have to ask your ins co if they will take car ncb. I found that they would not do it for me, but some co's will.
You will also need to inform them of the accident (did you claim ?) as if they find out latter (database) that you failed to inform them they could retract the ins cover.
Lieing to a ins co is never a good idea as they do share data and are always looking out for ways not to pay out.....

i work in insurance

and you can tell them anything you like (to an extent)

as long as you dont make a claim your ok

however if you make a claim, then they actualy go do the work.

Pay your premium, dont bother them, they wont give a fuck.

and by the way, only 10% of insurance applications ask for proof of NCD

I had to figure out my insurance when I went and insured my car.
I have 4 years protected on the bike but they wern't interested in that when I was trying to insure the car.
You can't use the ncb for 1 vehicle on another one at the same time.
I've had to start from scratch with the car and its costing me twice as much than the bike which is worth (does the math) 20 times as much.
just one of those things I guess, at least i know that if i do make a claim all the information I have given is correct,
I surfed around for ages and it was Quinn direct that came out the winner, about 400 quid cheeper than budget and hastings.
confused.com is a good one but elephant is a bit of a git to use.
