Well, at a junction waiting behind a Fiesta when another car wanting to come round the same junction couldn't get through because they took the corner at a bad angle, the Fiesta infront of me put on there reverse lights (obviously thinking she saw me) & i started to reverse as fast my legs could go lol but obviously not fast enough.
Followed by a massive crunch i managed to keep the bike up, threw it on the stand & went to talk to them, very apologetic & after seeing my bike had no damage apart from a small crack on the mudguard got the reg & i told her to leave it. I left her with a massive dent in the bumper which i'm guessing was my front wheel.
Suprised how little the damage was for how loud it was.

How can she not see a luminous green motorcycle?

Gonna try & fix the crack with some of that fairing glue stuff.

One of those miserable days i guess.

Glad it was just the front of the bike and not you Wink

Stupid woman Rolling Eyes Use your horn next time Razz

I'd ask her to pay for a new mudguard personally. If she complains then claim from her insurance.

I always get mixed up with the horn & starter switch. Very Happy
Didn't get any money from her but didn't think much of it as the damage is minimal, good idea with that frame thing will look it up.
She probably hasn't even noticed her bumper, probably thought it only damaged me.
Weird how much bikes can do to cars tho!

I would suggest reporting it to the police, in case she does. She could claim you rode into her, which the evidence would suggest happened.

Don't think she won't; as soon as she gets home, she/her hubby will check google for a new bumper and decide that they'll get it off your insurance.

You know she's going to go crying to her insurance with a claim against you for running into the back of her, don't you?

What with? She didn't get my reg or name. I don't think lying would be wise seeing as either her or someone she knows lives over the road from my mums house.

Can you prove otherwise?

Try riding a BMW....I used to give motorists a sharp blast of the left indicator! Mr. Green

Its rather pleasing the amount of damage a front wheel will do when a car reverses into it. The car tries to climb up it and usually rips its bumper off.......Very satisfying. Smile

From the sound you'd think i lost the whole front! But i suppose the wheel is much harder then the plastic bumper they have.
I probably could of avoided it if i had found the horn.

This is the crack, same on both sides. Just put some fairing glue on & will touch it up with some kawi green (although it's slightly darker lol)

You did sound your horn when she started to reverse and when you realised she had not taken effective rear view observations and had her stereo on so loud that she was unable to hear your horn or shouts and so was driving without due care and attention you realised you had to start to reverse your machine as quickly as possible. She then hit the front of your machine with great force and you were only able to keep the machine up with the use of the great skills you have aquired over the years of riding a motorbike. The incident has damaged the front tyre wheel rim front mud guard and fork legs. It has left you traumatised and unable to sleep. While maneuovring your bike in reverse you have pulled yourself in a very embarrassing place and so have not been able to function properly in a relationship causing your partner mental hardship too.

Now I see your case I think you should be able to take her to the cleaners.

I had the exact same thing, except replace the fiesta with a van, and rear bumper with a tow hook. Utter destruction Rolling Eyes And not a scratch to his van either.

Same situation, I was scrambling backwards as fast as I could and failing to hit my horn (gogo indicators!)

You don't get it, do you? Brick Wall Her word against yours, but the rear of her car is damaged. Usually that is caused by somebody running into the back of her as opposed to her reversing into somebody. Guess which version she'll be running with?

If that is the case which i doubt it will be then there's plenty of people who would be willing to be my witness, the one who made sure i was o.k. She might not of saw him tho as she was too busy saying sorry & making sure i was o.k.
Happened right outside an old friends house actually, whilst he was gardening he saw the whole thing, he noticed her because of the loud music & failed to here my horn (above)

If she wants to play dirty that is.

I had some r-tard do this to me in a petrol station.

LUCKILY the bike hit the block the pumps stand on, and therefore stopped it decking my shiny new exhausts on the floor.

£150 in cash later, I rode home....

Glad you didn't drop it...

I've had a similar incident leaving Tesco filling station (Yes the same one I got barred from and sent the letter of complaint to)... I was leaving the forecourt, there was a giant lorry infront in the exit part... I got right up behind it and realized the reverse light was on... then it started backing up on me... i could walk the bike backwards as fast as it was moving, but was panicking like crazy.

Thankfully someone filling up beeped their horn for me so he stopped and I could go round him.

Wasn't pleasant, but Thumbs Up to the cager.
