 |
|
its an NC30 again ,
There is a '30 nearby very nearby says within 5 miles of my place , the description looks
v good , the mileage seems too low to be true 13K for a 16 year old bike,
hes got low feedback +4 as a buyer only
he says hes got MOT certs to prove it in his description.
Problems are:
hes not answering questions , his feedback is low, it seems too good to be true
In such a situation is it ok to bid on it potentially win it, perhaps with an alter ego ebay identity
get a chance to go look at it and walk away if its crap? ,
5 months ago I saw a RWB (this one is white and grey) , who refused to let me take a look
at it, ditto another one in Warrington, he also refused to let me look at it.
or is that too chavvy like and dishonourable? Since I'm in with the crowd of if you BID you BUY
if it matches the description as described in the ebay listing and I've never bid on anything I
didn't want.
The alternatives are a 45000 MILE UK spec '30 in Norwich (180 miles away) £1150 and a £1550
20K bike about 30 miles away which probably will be bought before I manage to go see it, since
Stiffler was so kind to go gazump me on a '30 which was perfect!.
Any thoughts?

I agree with Craig. A genuine seller should have no problem with you coming down to see the bike.
In fact in some cases they prefer it cos you might make them a cash offer there and then so they can pull the auction and save on the fees.
The only reason I can think of why a seller would not let you go to view would be that there is something seriously wrong........ ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

where are you itchy ? i am finishing off my 1989 RWB one and selling it in the next month or so
owned it since 97, first owner in the UK, had a geuine 6000kms on it when i got it and i put a MPH speedo on it which read 6500 miles. now shows 17600 miles so worh that out. around 15,000 miles
It been stood for 4 years now in my house as ornament. have nicked all the brand new bodywork for my UK bike, and putting all good RWB panels back on but non are 100% new
Tyres are new but old, will get a full oil change before sale, full MOT before sale, the lower rad is clear and better than most. bike is now wearing standard uncut system and carbs.
Nosecone has a snapped off left ear (attached by screen and mirror), left mid is 90%, left lower is 85%, right mid is 85% has small crack, right lower is 80% has missing lug, left seat unit is 95%, right seat unit is 80% small scuff.
I know this bike well, and it needs a good clean as 4 years of house dust is making it lok filthy under its skin. it will be ready to ride away once finished. i was going to put on ebay once done and let it go to the highest bidder.
It will have all the old MOT's and a rook of old bills. this is probably one of the last 89's with 2 owners on the book and a load of MOT's to back up its mileage.
Am just round the corner from maxton in cheshire |
