Anyone know of a little program to get rid of pop ups. I use Yahoo pop up blocker, but its not doing much.

I have got the little devils shooting up all ovr the place Shocked

Have tried adaware and stopzilla, but they just make my pc run really slow. Sad

Can anyone recommend a little program that will sort them out, without slowing things down Question

Some browsers will do it (Firefox for example).

Yeah, another vote for Firefox here.

Had it since September, yet to see a pop-up.

That makes it a winner in my books.

Also, it's pretty user friendly compared to IE.

yup, another vote for firefox. I also strongly recommend you install the flashblock plugin as well if you're running an older machine and would like the option of being able to use flash. I've no idea why macromedia/adobe don't allow you to de-activate or filter the flash plugin by default: https://flashblock.mozdev.org/

Avant Browser all the way. I didn't like Firefox, and I'm hooked on the gestures now. You can block ads and popups, and specify URL's to filter. Very nice.

Avant is IE with a different skin with all the same security flaws. Thumbs Down

It stops all popups and ads though.

Hang on, Firefox is Mozilla, and so is IE, so why is Firefox supposed to be more secure?
