Bikes in Bus lanes

I guess after the "travel tax" petition, everyone is starting to start there own. There is one that I will support though... Bikes in Bus Lanes.
I think that the goverment will not do anything since this country is under dictatorship and not a democracy and the PM will ignore everything people say but hey, it's worth a try. Give your support.

All newport bus lanes bar 3 are bikeable. TBH it's a safer idea than having to filter.

The 3 or so bus lanes in London that can be used seem far safer than filtering as long as you take a bit of care with the side roads.

Seems a farce that these are part of a "trial" (https://www.tfl.gov.uk/streets/motorcycle-buslane-study.shtml) that seems to have been running for over 4 years now - surely they've come to some sort of conclusion!!!

Might as well let bikes use them, as some of the ones in Leeds are also on time limits... But still out side these time the car drivers still seem to avoid them like the plague.
I often travel down the main one on my route to work, as its far safer than filtering down the outside in all the crap that is in the central hatchings.

Are bikes allowed in bus lanes normally? I can't recall the legalities off-hand, but IIRC they are? Correct me if I'm wrong.

As far as I know, there are no bus lanes in Cardiff that allow motorcycles to use. So uhh... that's good to know if you were ever traveling through the center of Cardiff.

Which, by the way, is a f*cking nightmare at rush hour.

I agree with the petition but with respect, it could have been worded better. Mentioning the fact that it would be safer for motorcyclists, that it would help with congestion and emissions would have demonstrated a little forethought had been given.
