Which Renthal Handlebars? (Lesbian Pic Inside)

Which Renthal handlebars for a Rieju SMX 50cc Supermotard as in the pic below.

Well my bike fell off the stand and bent the bars (amongst other damage) so to make myself feel better instead of replacing them I thought I'd upgrade.

So your personal preference/recommendation is welcomed as I dont know a thing about best riding style etc.....

Put whatever the hell you want on as long as you find it comfortable.

It almost certainly has 7/8" handlebar clamps so stick with that range to avoid mechanical headaches.

Just be aware that if you go much higher than standard, you may run into problems with the length of the control cables and wiring. If you go a lot shorter than standard, they might foul bodywork.

I personally like to fit bars with a moderate kick back at the end rather than straight ones but this is because of an old wrist injury, they are just comfier to use.

Pop down to your local MX dealer and try holding sets in your hands. There's so many variations of rise / sweep / width / colour.

As above, too wide or too high and you'll get issues with the controls.

Or would "Enduro" bars suit my bike more, whats the dif between trials and enduro?

It doesn't matter what the hell goes with the bike, if it is a 7/8" tube size and roughly the same height and widt they'll fit. It's what YOU find comfy.

Sit on the bike and hold your hands out as you would like them to fall on the bars then get a mate to measure how this would fit in with regard to the measurements cagiva gezzer posted up with regard to width, rise and sweep. Then select the ones that are closest to that.

I personally like ones that have my hands shoulder-width apart, my forearms paralell to the ground and a moderate kickback so the grips fall into my palms without having to twist my wrist sideways.

As it happens, for me on my bike medium rise 36" enduro bars (also known as desert bars) are perfect. You have a different bike and are almost certainly a different size so you'll probably need something different.

If you're happy with the current bars, measure them up and buy some like that. There is no such thing as an 'upgrade' performance wise, only more or less comfortable for your build and riding style.

While I expect trials bars will still be pretty standard and work fine, remember trials is stuff like this:

However, I doubt it'd make much difference on a 50 even if they weren't designed for the riding you're doing.

I found a good way to bend bars back into shape when I bent mine...

I put them on the driveway, with the flat edges that run in 2 dimensions facing the ground, then reversed my van onto the bars and parked it there, clamping the bars to the gound. I then used a scaffolding bar to put over the end of the bar, and bent it back...

The car on top give a solid grip so you have good leverage, and also you can measure distance from ground for each bar end to work out if you have it relatively straight yet.
