bandit question?

Hi all, just thought i should ask here (the homepage of all bike questions Very Happy

) Basically, ive been offerd a 98 bandit n600 for £1200, its in red, never been down the road, all original, low milage - 14000.
with t+t (can't remember how much)

Is it worth getting for my first big bike?

They're easy and predictable to ride.
Its getting quite old but miles are low.
Offer a thousand and see if they bite.

Can't go wrong with a bandit. They're quick enough, they handle well enough, they stop well enough.

They do everything well yet excel at nothing.
Agreed, offer a grand and see what ya get.

14k is low but it's not shocking.

My bandit is my 4th bike, after a couple of 125's and a 500, having ridden quite a few others. I have just worked for 10 hours in central london on a 125 and im now gonna go for a ride on my bandit back into the melee. The bike makes me want to ride it and it still excites me around down,

If you absolutely must keep pulling past 120mph then the bandit is not the best choice. If you want to keep up with most things upto 100mph then the bandit is good at what it does.

Its a top heavy fellow, but even my short arse can ride it fine.

I picked up mine with under 6k on the clocks...
