Recently my Bluetooth dongle thing won't connect with my laptop and I'm not sure why as I've done nothing different.

I'm trying to upload some videos and every time I send it it says connection failed, try again.

Anyone have any idea why it might have randomly stopped? It's frustrating! Sad

I had one of those in the past, they can be a moody bollocks at times. I found myself having to reinstall the driver a few times mate. If you go to the maker's website they might have an update. Have you changed what usb port you usually put it in?

Nope, same port!

Will have a look at the website and if nothing comes up, will try and reinstall. Cheers for the advice. Thumbs Up

one thing to test is connect hardwired with the laptop to test the broadband connection itself.

And if the BB connection is fine, then check your router, trying with a laptop with a built in wireless card and if that works fine. Then its the dongle.

Might be software which is corrupted or the hardware ( the dongle) itself.

I sometimes have a job getting them to talk after i've unplgged and plugged it back in.

Try searching for devices on both sides first.
If they dont find each other, turn them off, then back on, try again.

it could even be other software which is installed on the O/S,

like other modem drivers, or a small file hidden somewhere.

You could try the usb dongle on another laptop, and if it works fine on there, then the hardware issue of the dongle would be cleared.

Thumbs Up
