Nope didn't remember that. but well done I think. Confused

Least as you said it was no points just a fine. Now the cops should go pull over all them tossers with those stupid fucking blue washer lights stuck on their novas with their bucket exhausts. Rolling Eyes

EASY TARGETS. The police need to look like they are doing something. You know what I'm gonna say now: They should catch some real villans instead of picking on the easy targets

You can have forward facing lights in any colour except blue, so your red lights shoud be OK.

Errr, I thought red lights could only be on the rear?

The pigs really aint gonna like blue lights etc, because it makes it look like you're trying to imitate them.

(and for the rest of us it means it's harder to tell if the car a way back is a police car or just someone with blue lights behind another car Evil or Very Mad )

It is VERY illegal to have a red light on the front. Blue, green etc isn't too bad, but they come down very hevaily on people with red sidelights etc. I once got done for that, its bad news!

I read once about a boy getting stopped in his Golf by the police. He had those blue tinted light units, the ones that can be officialy bought at any VW dealer.

Anyway, they tried to do him for impersonating a police car (Twats) Turns out the boys mum was a solicitor and she took it all the way and he got off with it. So I assumed from that outcome that it was not illegal. Question

I think it will all come down to the amount of tint and the brightness of the lights. As someone said, if you aint got a free lawyer its not worth it IMO... and it pisses everyone off as they think you're a cop on the road Evil or Very Mad

I found that at the end of every month the police are out in drones and it seems i always get pulled over! and everytime they ask me if i know what speed i was going!!!

i got let off last week for doing 44 in a 40 zone round the corner from my house. now they must of known where i lived because he didnt talk to me about it till i got home and got off the bike and removed my helmet so he must of followed me from bowaters roundabout all the way to lower rainham ( if anyone from medway here will know where that is)!.

One thing that amazes me they have not once meantioned the small number plate that i have!!!.

i know a bit about lighting laws from fiddling with cars, and as far as i know u cannot show red light from the front, or white from the rear as these colours indicate the front or back of a vehicle. They dont like u to mix them up. strange thing is though, if you cant see the bulb itself but only the light emmited from it, its ok as long as it doesent flash???

if u dont get that, an example would be a static red light at the front which was itself not visible, but the light cast from it was clearly visible. not so many places to hide lights on a bike though Confused

If they have your plate, no matter what car it is, I'd stop.

And police asking daft questions... when we were locking the bikes up at Reading Festival, the cop in the mobile CCTV van driving past asked us "are these your bikes or are you stealing them?" Obviously criminals are getting stupider Wink

lol thats funny, a mate of mine had a ferrari 360 and we were parked up on a high street and two walking coppers came to the window and took his keys and asked us if it was nicked etc, then after they found it was his, they accused us of being druggies, i laughed in the coppers face and asked him what prove had he got he continued to accuse us, i took his number and reported him to his cheif/inspector, and 2 days later got a call appologising about the hassle and accusations!

i say the cop a few weeks, not a word! Very Happy

They can accuse you of all sorts of things at this point, and who is the magistrate likely to believe that you weren't doing a wheelie towards old women crossing the road... you, a dirty dangerous biker, or a squeaky clean police man that is making the country a safer place to live?

A police car flashing isnt an order to stop just a warning, the blue lights must be flashing for you to assume they want to stop you.

Going to drive to reading festival next year, walking to the bloody tesco's was to much effort this year!
