Brought a pair of Oxtar TCS boots yesterday and I find that so far Im struggling to ride in them. They're the first pair of Sporty boots I've owned, and I find them really hard. It just feels weird when changing down gears as I'm not getting any feel through them towards the lever so can't physically feel how many gears I've gone down. Add this to the fact I'm riding a new bike (Hornet 600) and I feel like I've just started riding!
I've previously only ridden in cheapo water-proof bike boots and I could get much better feel through them and therefore be much smoother. Hopefuly after a few hundred miles of riding I'll be OK. ____________________ Yamaha rxs100 > Kawasaki ZZR600 > Kawasaki ZX6R > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda Bros 400 > Suzuki SV650S K2

Yeah I think everyone goes through this with their first pair of 'race' style boots. You will soon adapt to the lack of feel and before you know it, you'll feel right at home in them. ____________________ Yamaha YZF-R6 |

You could do what I did - take your 'bike for service, impress upon them how important it is that it's ready the same day, so they take it from you and wheel it in to the workshop and start straight away.
Then walk to the bus stop and realise that your wallet, with your bus pass in it, is on your desk at home. Walk 4 miles to the office to get a temporary bus pass so you can get home to get your wallet to pay for the 'bike service.
After walking 4 miles in brand new race boots, you will have blister-covered feet, but in a good deal of pain, and feel a right muppet...
However, they've been fine on the 'bike ever since
