Would you feel uncomfortable with some random bloke filming you and your bike unintentionally?
Well on Saturday that random bloke was me.

The story :- I decided to pop down to Squires Café for half an hour or so to pass the time and to try out my new dvd recorder/camera I got for Christmas. Some of the reasons I took the camera were to try it out and show my parents what Squires is like, film bikes coming in and going out of Squires because it’s a nice straight road for a short while and most bikers pop a wheelie or just accelerate extremely hard which sounds nice Cool

Whilst I was there I got the camera out and started to walk around filming anything and everything, bikes in the carpark, bikes coming & going. But whilst I was doing this, an old guy who looked about 50-60 years old kept constantly giving me the evil stare as if he didn’t want me to be there filming, even though I was minding my own business and just trying my camera. Maybe this old guy thought I was some undercover cop filming bikers and number plates to fed back to the old bill LoL. Or maybe he simply didn’t like been on film. But I carried on anyways and tried to ignore, but he kept staring constantly, eventually I’d had enough and filmed what I wanted and left sharpish before he came over and lamped me one, lol.

But the thing is, I was simply testing my camera and would say that I’m innocent and minding my own business, but if I put myself in his position I might feel rather uneasy if some random bloke started filming me and my bike and then possibly give that data to the police or maybe organised bike criminals. (I wasn’t intentionally filming bikers number plates, just the bike itself.)

Would this annoy you?

If he came over and clouted you then you'd have something to worry about, as he didn't why bother what he was thinking ?

Maybe he was trying to give you a "special" look so you would go over and whisper in his ear, he maybe wanted a special friend. Wink

We were at Squires on saturday and If we'd of caught you filming our bikes questions would of been asked! You can understand people's paranoia after the stuff in MCN regarding riders and bikes being photographed at meets by the old bill. It's nothing personal Thumbs Up
What time were you there?
I was there from 12:30-1:10pm.
Suppose I should be a bit more carefull next time. Smile

Blue, why would it bother you so much ?
Some random guy filming everything that is going on is hardly the worst offence.

Should have pointed the camera straight at him. Then when he asks what you are doing tell him you just thought he had such a cute little arse that you wanted to film him so that when you got home you could watch the footage and enjoy a nice long wank.

I'd be wary because the DVLA will give out your details for a fee, and if you're at a bike meet you aren't at home so your house is empty...

Very similar to the sat nav thefts where the criminal tells it to take them 'home' and then they burgle the house...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
