That has to suck majorly! I'm gonna be extra careful when using the keys on my Hornet now.

Shit. Which reminds me.. I only have 1 key but I did order one to be made from my local bike shop and they said they'll have it on saturday.

Note: Pick up the key tomorrow.

Did they say how long they'll be? Hopefully not over 2 hours.

Bikes are easy to hotwire generally, presuming the steering lock's not on.

Try force the stub into the ignition and.... wait, wait. No. That could make a whole new problem. Where abouts are ya?

Go to your local shops, there should be some ratboys sitting about drinking cider and smoking spliff. Offer one of them 20 Bensons and he will do the job for you.

Heh, that's nice of ya mate but there wasn't anything to do :p

Took the key to Timpson's this morning and they glued it together and cut me TWO new ones!

The guy was pretty good, I don't think all of them could've done it, if anyone else has a problem his name is Lenny on the Allerton Road branch Thumbs Up

And ruin the lock too? Nah just take the lock out of the circuit and hotwire the thing. I was a spot upset when I discovered how easy it is to do on the CX.

Problem with the key they've cut me.

The base is a bit too long, so I can't put it all the way in, I have to back it out by about 1mm

This isn't a problem starting the bike, but when it comes to putting the steering lock on it means I have to push the lock in with my finger and then turn the key, otherwise it gets pushed all the way in (obviously) and won't turn the lock.

Bollocks.

Whenever I had one done they are never exactly right.
If you go back and describe the problem they might be able to fix it.
