Hi All,

Can anyone confirm that motorcycles over 25 years old are also exempt on road tax ? I want to know if the rule for cars also applies for motorcycles !

Ian.

Kev is right, the law was introduced for vehicles over 25 years of age at first. Then the government realised that people would basically keep older cars on the road by rebuilding them effectively and get out of paying tax.

So it was amended so it was vehicles registered before the above given date.

Hi

The 25 year rule for road tax was brought in ages ago. IT was meant to be a rolling 25 year exemption but when labour got in they changed it to a fixed date. Tories claim they will reinstate the 25 year rolling exemption.

All the best

Keith
