Depends on the model of the bike. But part of the frame no. generally relates to the age.

Any chance someone knows what year this is?

I assume that the bike needs to be registered in the country before it gets onto any database.

So is it a Yamaha MX125? Might be worth finding a Yamaha forum and asking there...

In that case, pop into your local Halfords or bike shop, and take a peek in the Haynes manual. You might need to discretely take off the protective wrapping though. Rolling Eyes

dont really have a local halfords or bike store. Now that's a pain. Does anyone own a bike store or is able to check for me??

You phone up the AA or someone like that and for £25 they tell you when the bike was registered, the number of owners, if it is registered stolen or written-off, the frame and engine number, registered colour, and some other stuff. It is guaranteed so that if the bike turns out to be "dodgy" they pay out compensation or something.

You sure its not MX125A-008136 which would suggest its a 1988 bike MKX125A3 (23.7bhp model)
