 |
|
I'm 18 at the moment, by restriction is up in the winter, so i'm going to chop in my restricted 400 for something else, but what!
Narrowed it down to 3 bikes:
Aprilia RS250(newer shape)
Kawasaki ZX6R B1/B2(2003-2004 version)
Suzuki GSXR600 K1/K2
Leaning more towards the RS at the moment because of the cheap insurance.O and I have about 3 grand to spend hopefully.
What's your opinions.
Thanks

I'd go for the B1. I've got one.
Be warned though, the rear shock is a nightmare and causes a lot of handling issues on any road that isn't smooth. The bike is quite prone to tank slappers too due to the suspension setup.
Other than that, it's a cracking bike in every other possible way.
Can't comment on the other bikes. ____________________ Honda NSR125R -> Suzuki GSXR400R GK76a -> Kawasaki ZX636 B1H -> Honda CBR400RR NC29 -> Nothing  |

I probably wouldn't be using it as an everyday bike, and the re-builds are what worries me about the RS.
Does anyone know the rough price/ intervals?
The gixxer and the ZX6 are the only recent ish 600's i can afford the rest of similar year are 4000+ ____________________ My Flickr

Kwaka or the suzy for sure but your down to personal preference on that, i have no idea which id choose myself
The RS will cost a bomb to run. ____________________ No longer have a bike due to a DVLA/Court royal f**k up. |

I'd take the ZX6 over the Gixxer, but the RS, that noise/smell//handling and cheap insurance, but that's probably offset by the expensive servicing/buying oils. ____________________ My Flickr |

When i had my TDR rebored for the second time i thought id better start running it on better oil.
£3.99 a litre (not the cheapest stuff) and that lasted me 4-7 tanks of fuel (at £7-10 a pop, small tank).
I wouldn't run the RS on even that stuff, more £6+ oil at least.
Fuel and oil consumption will be a lot more so figures are going to be mind boggling over the course of a month.
Don't get me wrong, i love 2 strokes, just get as much info about running one as possible ____________________ No longer have a bike due to a DVLA/Court royal f**k up. |

None of the above, as my sig says, a sports 600 is not the answer
get an NSR250, a 2 stroke with Honda reliability. (this may be a slightly biased opinion) ____________________ If you dont like the way that I ride.......Stop trying to keep up!!! |
