While out hunting for parts I came across the new gixxer thou.

I love the colour on it.

Its like a burnt orange shame my shitty phone can't pick it up.

The twin cans actually look alright in person.

Can't wait to try one. Wanna see what all this fuss is with the 3 different modes.

According to a journo who had one in Spain, it's 'not all that' - it does limit topend power, but doesn't soften the delivery, so you still get a decent kick when you turn the throttle, meaning it doesn't help much in the wet, etc.

Not bad, looks pretty good.

Two things i don't like, front headlight doesn't do it for me and the exhausts would look better with the mini style either side like the 750?

Sorry im a little behind at the moment with new bike models.

I was looking at one the other day in the local dealers. To be honest I dont like the front end at all. I think the old one looked better.

What a minger. The K4 was a really nice looking bike and they have just got uglier with each model since then.

I absolutely love it, I sat on one last week in the colours I want too - Black Smile

Its pretty firm and feels great, Doesn't feel big and clumsy but obviously you'd have to ride it to see if thats the same on the road. If I had the cash I would, But 9k is steep and I'm having enough fun on the 600 atm anyway Laughing

Oh, and I hate the cans. Rolling Eyes

According to Bike mag, setting 3 is full power.

Setting 2 is the same delivery but less power.

and setting one is a soft delivery.

I would love one in all black.

But they do have a k5 1000 0 miles for 8999 which is a banging deal.

May be going back Embarassed

I thought that basically defies the whole reasoning behind the idea?.

Everything I've heard about it was to make it less punchy low down for poor conditions.

TBH It all seems like a load of bollocks anyways, What happened to good throttle control?

As with all standard cans, they ruin a bike.
Get those twin changed for something decent and that bike looks good.

The PB leathers and knee sliders kinda gave it away.

I prefer a white/blue K6.

I don't like the extra little bit of fairing between the main fairing and exhaust.

That's the Catalytic Converter. It just has some crappy fins on it try and hide it.
