Hi Folks

I am completely new to this and plan on sitting/doing my CBT in the next week or so.
After that I plan on buying a 125 to get some bike time before doing the DAS route.

I was wiondering if anyone could recommend a 125 bike for a complete newby to buy. Any ones I should avoid?
I asee on ebay skyjet bikes are going pretty cheap for under a £1k which is what I was roughly looking to spend.

Any comments appreciated
Stuart

Honda CG125, Yamaha YBR125 sound like the best learner bikes at the moment.

As long as it's not a twist and go your good Thumbs Up Very Happy

Get some more opinions before you buy though Smile

I've only just passed my CBT and brought a Honda Cg125, I dont know too much about bikes yet but I can tell you from a personal experience that this bike is great fun and easy to control, it's my first bike for getting me around and the odd mini tour on weekends (ive done 3 so far!).

The bike is great and everything is accessible and it comes with a good new owner guide, tool kit etc. The only thing I would say, is you have to be careful when doing about 60 - 70(if ur lucky) as the wind can push you around a fair bit. Apart from that this bike is great and if you read some reviews 90% of people who have owned this bike agree.Ps aparently the engine is bullet proof! so you can thrash it a bit without worrying.

good luck with your CBT when you take it. Very Happy

Take your time finding the right bike for yourself - i spend a couple of months looking until i found the right one for me that was within my budget. You'll know the right 125 when you see it.

Not sure where you're from but I am selling my 125 as i've passed my test - its in the Bikes & accessories section on here in case your interested. Smile

My Cg is for sale now (not really any good for you in scotland though). I've got my KR1s and it's a beauty but learning on a CG made more prepared for the KR1s.
