I'm cleaning my rear wheel which is really greasy and manky, i thought about using a little wd40 to remove the grease but the wheels have been painted (and i dont know how well, so dont know what protection the paints got) will the WD40 remove this paint (I dont want it to!)

What else could I use? paint, meths?

Alright then, thanks for replies!

I'll use WD40 tomorrow, a little should do it, as quite a bit came off with just car shampoo.

Meths is alcohol which is generally shite at removing oils and grease.

Washing Powder would work and be cheaper than a tin of wd40.

Or get some degreaser.
