 |
|
Fell off my bike last November, and hurt my knee. Actually heard a loud snap, but did nothing at the time as I had my bike test coming up. It was not getting better, and I saw the consultant this week and he said I've got cartilage damage and a ruptured cruciate ligament.
He wants to do a hamstring graft, and says I'll be off work for at least two weeks, and on crutches for four weeks. Is this right? It seems like an awful long time?
Has anyone had this done, and how long did it take to recover? I'm going to be off my bike for a month by the sounds of things. ____________________ Shona |

I've just realised something too!
Unlike sickpup I have a piddly little scar
Sorry it's not what you want to hear, but it's well worth having it done! I only fall over sometimes now! ____________________ Funny, I used to hate being spanked as a child!

God those are some scars! I fell over for the first time last night- slipped on some water and went arse over tit with my knee totally going. Bloody painful. My duaghter (13) had five of her friends over for a sleepover so I shall have to say to the parents as they no doubt learnt some new swear words.
I've had three children, and I can honestly say that hurt worse than labour, so I can't wait to get it done now. Thanks guys ____________________ Shona |
