I was having a ride-out today, part of which took me along the A50. I was doing 100-105 and really feeling the wind blast, even lying flat on the tank. It got so that I couldn't stand to do more than 100 - and when I looked in the mirrors there was a Fiesta right behind me waiting to overtake. Embarassed

Then two blokes on bikes came effortlessly past me whilst I was clinging on for life.

What's the secret?

There's your problem, you should try sitting on the seat! Laughing

Sounds like your hanging on too much, I mean that as your too tense.

Basically the tenser you are, the more the wind affects you as the wind has more surface area to push the bike around.

Relax more and you'll find the wind will affect you less.

I've got the same bike as yours. Do you have the standard screen still on it? If you have change it - it's crap. Get a double bubble screen and you'll be fine.

Thanks fellas...yes I am holding on with a death grip (I keep reminding myself but it's difficult at 100mph when you feel like your head is coming off) and I have a standard screen.

Does the double bubble look good on the 636 (on some bikes they can ruin the looks, eh?).

EDIT: Just seen yours Joe and it looks nice...love the rear seat cowl too...have to go shopping Thumbs Up

EDIT EDIT: Just noticed your pegs....nice...what make and where and how much Joe?

And how clean is your chain? Shocked

Can`t speak for your model, but my 03 636 was transformed with a DB screen, the standard screen aimed the wind at my chest, this one puts it over my head.

If your going to be doing that speed quite often i'd suggest getting a DB screen no matter how it looks. I have one on my blade and it makes so much difference, but still looks good at the same time Cool
