I've got a zx636r at the moment, getting a bit bored with it and fancy a change, granted i havent pushed my 636 to its limits by a long way i just fancy a change and i am a bit cramped on the 636 to be honest.
Been looking around and i like the look of the zx10r's, specifically the 04 model but they don't seem to get good reviews in the bike press as never beeing as good as the honda or suzuki equivalent.
Anyone have one? Im going to try and get a test ride one if i can.
Oh and rest assured, i will not under any circumstances even contemplate getting a green one! |

From what I've heard a very capable bike. My unc has the 04 and has said it has shook its head a few times ( well known for that ) but has drastically improved after fitting a damper.
Easily get a tonne in 1st and no doubt some awesome power too, Im loving the 07 especially with the akra cans but tbh they all look great, But one question.. Surely the only colour a ninja should be is green?
Jk's If I were to get the 07 it would be in black! ____________________ Suzuki GSX-R 750 K6. |

To me a 'change' doesn't involve going and buying the same bike with a bigger engine |

telepath or what! , I thought you'd get a ZX10R, just chatting to Joe yesterday,
just a thought maybe you ought to explore the performance limits of the 636 before changing? since the performance limit is pretty high on those things and I've always been able to hit the limits of each bike I've ridden (chasing YOU has caused this a few times for starters) , otherwise you may get bored just as quickly on the bigger one which is a bit of an animal frankly.
torpoint windy ridge after test riding one of those babies nearly cut my time by 1/3 on torpoint windy ridge,
still I'll put in an offer for your 636 if you decide to be rid of it, ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will. In the end, your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching. |

Yeah id be commuting on the zx10r as well, it will be a 10 mile commute through town traffic as well or around 30 miles down the a6 if and when i move house, i know its not really a commuter but i can only have one bike and i need it for commuting, weekend warrioring and potentially as a track weapon (albiet a water pistol in my hands no doubt).
I know a bandit 12 will do all of the above but im a sports bike fan and fairings do it for me
Chicken strips on my 636 show i dont push the bike to its limits by a long way just after a change from the 600 range, had 2 600cc sports bikes now (if you can call a thundercat that), got a bit of cash floating around and fancied a change.
Going to try and get a test ride on an 04 model see how it fits and see if it scares the shizzle out of me, if it does i'll buy it |

I saw a ZX10 in the forecourt of the bike shop at the weekend, the sales guy said the bloke brought it in to exchange for something else. I asked why, and he said it was a bit too much, and he's going to get a gixxer now. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

I commute on my 636, in the past i have got board and bought a different bike only to want my old one back. Also if your not taking the 636 too its limit's it will then be alot harder to get on a 10R and take it to the edge. But if its what you really want, get it if i could afford one i would have one . ____________________ Honda SFX50 > Aprilia SR125 > Aprilia RS125 > Honda RFV400 > K4 GSXR600 > KTM Duke > C1H 636 > K3 GSXR1000 > Aprilia RSV-R > Triumph Street Triple R > Ducati 899 Panigale > Aprilia Tuono 1100 > Triumph Daytona 675R > KTM SuperDuke 1290 2.0 |
