Well at long last the insurance company had got its arse into gear and got my claim started, as part of this i was offered a courtesy bike and it would be rude to say no so I said send it along then. I was actually expecting a cityfly or a 6oo diversion but I got a nice shiny 600 hornet so if anybody fancys doing silly stuff we have a nice little toy to play with for a few months.

Depends what hire company you get it from, but most don't care what happens to em. My sister had a CBR6 from Giant Motorcycle on hire during a claim, it got knocked over by a car...got another CBR6 with no quibbling. Time to learn wheelies? Razz

Hmmm, I've always wanted to have a go on a Hornet. Very Happy I've always wondered what they wheelie like. Mr. Green

Well your welcome to have a go an generally do what you like on it as long as you don't crash it and don't do burnouts.

When do you think you're likely to be getting the bike? I'll try and arrange a time to use the track in the next month or so.

Well the bike is here and i've just given it a little run. The bike is an 02 plate with 5k on the clock, its silver and its got one of those little nose fairings on it. The tyres are brand new dragons which feel quite sticky but they are new so I cant judge it too much yet. The engine feels quite smooth but it seems you really have to thrash it to get anything out of it but I need to get used to riding again before I can say quite what its like. If anybody wants to have a go on it they are more than welcome to pop down and have a go as long as you don't go through any speed cameras or crash it.
