well this weekend went on my first 'long' trip, about 160 miles i think.

there was me(nsr) and 2 other mates (xr125+a 10yr old dr125),all up and ready to set of at mine at 9am, they got here only to find me waiting for a push...
i got the bike out filled 2t, lubed chain set tyre pressures. went to start the bike and nothing happend! seems like the battery is flat so wont turn the bike over but will make a click when pressing the start button...... so with the bike not starting i needed a push to get it out my garden (ride up 4stairs to get the bike out on 2 scaffolding planks) as thers no way i could get it out myself!

so bike out, gear on, bumped it down my street let it warm up and we were off.
along the A64 stopping at the red bus cafe on the way, and getting held up by a 07plate Vrod filtering through very slow moving traffic on the A64 (glad i wasnt in a car),all the way to scarborough even tho we were headed for brid, thought we'll find our way to brid along the coast from scarborough lol

when we finally got in scarborough we headed for the nearest pub for a game o pool + wee rest! not too good on the top of your back/neck riding all that way on a nsr!

then we headed to brid..... we managed to find our way there, not sure if it was the most direct route but we got there.
in brid we seen the same Vrod at the motorcycle parking that held us up pon the A64.
we had us fish n chips and wandered round the front for a while, found a joke shop and got a few novelty items.....

now its getting onto 3'oclock and time to head back, but we wern't all that sure the way back, we knew we needed to go to stamford brigde then onto the A64 from there.
we seen a bloke at the motorcycle parking with a map so we asked for a quik glance at it to be sure where to go, he was from jus outside hull and was very surprised wen we said we were going to stamford bridge, even more surprised when we said we were headed for leeds on "those little things" lol

well anyway he showed us our way, then offered up his map to be sure we got back ok!
was adammant he should keep it though as if he knew HIS way he surely wouldnt have needed a map! but he was sure he knew his way so apreciatively titch popped the map on his dr as heed now been dubbed the navigator lol
ready to go i bumped the bike and got my gloves ect on wile the bike warmed up, then i heard a good roar that made me bones shake lol the bloke we got the map off had a v10 bike!? never realised as we were 2 busy checking the map out! was crazy loud! any1 seen/heard one of these before? surely cant be many v10 bikes around (assumeing it was a v10 as the huge engine was pertruding out the sides of the bike and it had v10 on the rear fairing) lol

the journey home..... managed to find out way to stamford bridge ony to find it was closed! a quik diversion to the otherside and a litle ride later we found the 3cups pub. stopped in there for a rest/drink/piss, we were going to get some food but the cheapest thing was a sarnie at £5.95 or something, it was then decided we wern that hungry after all! and we'd just wait till mac d's in services on the A64.....

after food at mac d's we set of for the last stretch, by the time we got home it was dark and my face was numb(damn iridium visors for day use only!).

all in all it was a real good day out and a good laff, especially trying to bump off the nsr everytime we stopped!

bring on the next trip!!
