2 stroke Vs. 4 stroke what's yours?

As I'm new to this forum and don't know anybody or their bikes. I'd be intrested to know what you all ride. Bikes that is. Anymore information would be a bit to much

NSR125 ATM, although it is in bits of varying sizes in trhe garage so I'm not sure if it counts.

I'd take a 500cc 2 stroke over a 500cc 4 any day! but then again I wouldn't want the maintenance of a 2-stroke!

Unfortunatley aero dynamics come into play a lot at 200+mph

RD350 2st
Polini 910 (minimoto) 2st

I can't be dealing with the maintainance on a 2st, I'll stick with my 4's. (though I do have most of an NSR125 in bits in my shed)

Currently riding an SR125, but that's only 'cos I got banned. I have a FireStorm and a ZXR400 in my front garden

2 strokes do need a lot less sorting when things /do/ go wrong though. And general maintenance is usually simpler (no valves etc).
A 1000cc 2 stroke could be in a lot lower state of tune as well to still produce ridiculous amounts of power, so bring it on

I am on a 4st as well, thought technically the first bike I ever bought was a 2st, it just didn't last very long.

Mines a 2 stroke (NSR 125... Lukes old one ).

Although, not for long as I'll be upgrading in a few (probably 6ish...) months.

4st at the moment (Fireblade)

only 2st I've owned was an '89 TZR125, my first bike. Can't see me ever owning one again though, having to thrash a bike to get anything out of it doesn't really appeal to me, nor the issue of constant rebuilds.

Some of those pesky two strokes have good performance, and the thrill of using a powerband is unique...IMHO

Course we're not talking about 125's here, I had a mate who nicknamed his LC350 the 'litre-eater' and he could ride rings round bigger bikes.

The YPVS probably started the race-rep theme.

And IF YOU RIDE ONE, you might see the attraction of riding as hard as you can and KNOWING you've ridden the wheels off it is better than the, undoubtedly good, clinical handling of a 90's superbike.

Would be very interested in a bigger CC two stroke machine.

unfortunetly the con's for bigger cc 2 stroke machines out weighs its pro's for everyday use.

Although a nice 4 stroke twin would be nice...
