I think its just a £30 fine like having a small plate but just remember having one on invalidateds your insurance.

just a fine, but you usually wont get pulled for the can itself, they would do you for the can if you got pulled speeding, or dangerous riding, or sometimes at meets when they come to pick on bikers!

I think that race cans and small plates are both endorsable offences, so you can get points for it. But as others have said, it's unlikely that you'll get punished too much unless you get pulled for a more serious offence. Although I have heard of plod confiscating illegal plates and cans on the spot, which can leave you in shit creek.

apparently last night, cops at chelsea bridge were handing out fines for small plates, they were okay with race pipes, and they did book people with small plates but it was only a £30 fine!

one guy got caught wheeling, pulled over and only one officer saw him, he told the police officer to prove it, they didnt bother, but booked him for plate! anyway he had an italian licence, so no points for him Laughing

I was wondering that as well Ant, thought I would probably get just a daft fine and a producer if I got stopped.

I just had Goose fly by me on my bike and oh my word it is loud. Laughing

Mike was on the back the other day as we went into town and he said it was louder than Zim's Storm - which I really really can't believe.

Wait until you hear James' bike with its' road legal Suzuki standard cans on! It's louder than your CBR, for sure.

Producers are ok, as long as you aren't supposed to be restricted. Looks like I'm going to have to wait for my race cans Sad

if they asked for a producer it only means that u would have to spend an hour puttin the restrictors back in . its got to be worth it for the sound and looks. bikes sound sh!t standard.
