Just wanted to know how many of ya out there have taken any off and how long had you been riding when you got your first one, cos everyone seems to have taken one off except me, not that im looking forward to having to do it cos it will probably mean im in a shitty situation. Im just interested by the way i dont want people to think i cant wait to start kicking them off left right an centre.

Same here, if you have it one you are either a bad rider for riding too close or have issues.

I dont think I know another biker that has partaken in this particular display of angry vengeance Thinking

Im a coward personally. I like the whole fantasy of 'bang, you deserved that, ha ha' but in reality there must be a whole world of shit waiting for you afterwards.

The second part is that as both a biker and a car driver I value the worth of my machines. Ifg I was to make an innocent error then I dont think having the £300 mirror ripped off my BMW is entirely fair. I doubt it would make me a better driver and I think that the red mist would certainly come down. The end of that kind of scenario would be unknown I guess.

A different look at it would be a completely hypothetical one but imagine being on your bike and pulling out a junction with bad timing and upsetting a car. If you were to get to the next set of lights and the driver opened his door into you and knocked you over then you would be well pissed off.

The best thing I learned was that getting angry on the road normally only done me harm, it ruined my mood, my riding and sometimes my whole morning.

I've never knocked any wing mirrors off either. To be honest, I tend to be enjoying the ride too much to worry about any vengeance against other road users.

I realise that if I allow myself to degenerate(?) into a road rage situation, then it's likely that my riding will suffer, and I'd be putting myself into an unneccessarily risky situation.

Would never kick on off as it would just be so easy for them to knock you off your bike later on, or even worse some other poor biker.....

But if they start edging over when you are along side them and traffic is coming the other way, i know what is going to give before i hit anything oncomming.....
9 times out of 10 you will only knock them forward and off the springs, not flying down the road.

Never done one, have been tempted a couple of time, like when one old git uses the left turn only lane to go straight and a woman goes through on red, leaving me in the middle!!! Shocked

I chose to vent with a few choice words,

"i say, the pair of you nearly hit me, in future you should really pay more attention." or words to that effect!! Laughing

Mate did it years ago, some bloke pulled out on him nearly hitting him.

My mate followed him to a petrol station, walked up to the car and said "See this" and then he said "You don't need it" as he booted the thing off.

This is like 1995, my only experience

No, me neither.

What's the point?

Driver takes your Reg No... Police involved... Insurance involved...

Not worth the hassle.

Just flip the "Bird" or the "V" or give the old "Wanker" gesture and disappear up the road.

Haven't taken any mirrors off but I've smacked windows and panels before. If I'm put into a situation that leaves me close enough to take it off due to their incompetance, I might do it then..

Was out with a mate and a pikey pulled out straight infront of me and i just missed him, he then started giving me the Middle Finger out of his window, my mate then took a swipe at his arm scaring the shit out of him.

I clipped a volvo mirror yesterday, myself and an r6 were riding like prats and on a big sweeping three way bend the r6 went on the inside, i went on the outside of a lumbering volvo in the middle lane, i must have been CM from him, because i clipped my mirror (fully lent over) on some part of his car, no damage to him, mine got bent in a bit, no damage to me... i kept going... He prolly was fuming at the arsehole thing i just did, and in all fairness he had a right to...

What can i say...
