Hope you're getting better mate! I know what it's like to go through a crash, hospital and surgery and it's not easy Thumbs Up I have a rod + pins in my femur, it's weird at first but I'm finally getting used to it. Anyway, impressive pic and hope the leg gets better soon Thumbs Up Very Happy

Yes its a permanent thing that will keep the femur in a straight line and allow the bone to heal properly.

Yea, they stay in normally usless you get an infection in there or you plan to do very physical sports then they think about taking them back out (they told me this anyways with my arm)

mine even broke but they opted to leave them as much harder to get out due to scar tissue

Hope you get better, you still recovering or an old x-ray?

The pin they put in was too long, when my leg is in certain positions (usually get it after about 15mins leaning on the tank) it hurts like fuck. If you dig your finger into your bicep on the inside and tense the muscle it feels kinda similar to what this feels like.

If I had of known I would have asked my dad to bring my Dremel and a steel cutting bit-you know about £50's worth of equipment and 10mins time for the NHS would have stoped me being in agony since my op.

Savage, I actually cant wait for it to be done because its caused me a lot of pain. Just the thought about being under the knife again makes me nervous. Ah well. Rolling Eyes
