 |
|
Any ideas as to where I'd be able to get a bush for the inside of a kawasaki z550f gear lever. Thats not very well described, but I mean the bush that fits inside the swivelling part of the gear shift lever, mine is severely worn. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

Thanks mate, but those are both breakers, I was thinking that a bush of this size couldnt possibly be that expensive new, and from a breakers they only sell complete gear lever assemblies. Could anyone suggest where I could get a new bush for it online? (I realise I could probably go to a kwak dealer but im not at home and dont know what the bike shops are like round here) ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

I dont think it needs a special bush making, there is a bush in there already it is just very worn. I could make a new one myself if I really had to but Id rather just be able to knock the current one out and bang a new one in. Ive got a picture of another lever here which demonstrates that i mean. (the red arrow is pointing to the bush) ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

Try Cradley Heath Kawasaki, if anyone will know if it's replaceable they will, you can order on line too. Wish mine had a bush, once it's worn it's new lever time |

Measure OD and ID of bush, head down to B&Q or plumbing supplier and look thru the nylon piping section, see if anything matches it. If so, just use that cut down to size. ____________________ FAB-Racing MiniMotoSidecars - Back with a vengeance - F1 Class 2011...

Same as a Bandit, can't buy the bush have to buy the whole lever for £30 odd.
Don't use nylon it's too soft it will give and wear and soon be sloppy again. If you can't get a decent hard abs type plastic then alloy or brass is a better bet, made a couple of Bandit ones in brass ad they've been fine. ____________________ I used to be indecisive but now I'm not quite so sure. |
