Ive seen this bike on ebay for about £900 and am quite tempted. Not quite sure tho. I asked the guy about the accident and this is what he said:

Hi re ZXR it is not recorded,I believe it was hit from behind causing the
bike to cartwheel landing on its top fairingthen falling on to its off
side.Hope this info helps Nigel

That sort of accident seems to point towards swing arm/linkage damage so whadda youguys reckon.
Im not too bothered about other damage, forks seem ok and id probably streetfighter it so im not too arsed bout plastics either.

IF it was hit from behind it could of bent the swingarm or frame. You'd need to put it on a jig to make sure its straight.

Why isn't the rear fairing damaged? It it was hit from behind then rear bodywork, lights etc should be damaged. Looks like a front end crash.

Rear bodywork probably would be ok, the wheel would of taken the brunt of the force.

If the rear wheel had been hit that hard (and it must be hard to have cartwheeled the bike) then surely the tyre would have burst. I saw a bike get rear ended at low speeds, and it burst the rear tyre and the rear swingarm. The accident I'm talking about happened at a STOP junction while I was on my 3 day training before my test. The trainee stopped at the stop junction as he should but the car behind didnt and shunted him.
The bike was declared a right off as the exhaust was knackered, the swingarm and frame was bent and front screen was damaged.

Luckily the guy carried on riding after he calmed down, never did find out if he passed though.

Sorry but theres no way that bike has been shunted from the back. The mudguard is still in place, and it would have hit that and the exhaust first. I think it's been run into a brick wall. Laughing
