You bloody girl!

Its really not that bad, bit of wind doesnt do you any harm.

Try riding a CBR 125 in the wind, its hardwork, but i like a challenge.

You've had that CBR longer than I had my CG! Hats off for your dedication, if I was stuck with my CG I'd be completely sick of bikes by now!

We had to huddle together, all 15 of us, in a puddle in't' middle o't' road and wait for a passing Charabang to rinse t'worst of us muck off.

Pondering over, do i spend £2000 on a used Hornet, Bandit or CBR 600 F or buy new.

Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah.

I've been riding out today from 9am-3pm today and I found myself fairly warm. Glad I bought a neck warmer yesterday.

Even in the snow/hailstorm we had on the way back to Leeds things were not that bad.

To be honest I felt colder in the car than on the bike today. Dunno why.

Pfft, Rolling Eyes at least the bikes heavier than you and not massively top heavy.

Being 75Kg and riding the 70Kg monkey in that poxy weather was not fun, quite hairy when trying to filter and getting blown about Laughing

Not having any rain protection was not fun Sad

For most, 'getting pelted with hail and blown over the road' isn't a desired experience.

Whilst taking my 125 back to the dealers to trade in for my new bike I overtook a chap dressed head-to-toe in dayglow yellow on a monkey bike queuing with the traffic. I was filtering between the cars on the dual-carriageway and next thing I know the guy on the monkey bike is right behind me, following my lead as it were. I was genuinely worried for him as his head was level with their wing mirrors! Shocked

I just see it like this.

For 21 years of my life, I used to walk. Everywhere.

I used to walk 2 miles to school and 2 miles back every schoolday of the year because my mum could never afford a car, we used to walk through the snow for miles to go shopping and bring it home when I was little at the weekends.

I hardly ever got the bus, routes were quite limited where I grew up. and still, waiting at a stop for an hour in the middle of winter to get home from work in the middle of nowhere (Forest Row, if anyone knows it) is hardly 'comfortable'

So to me, being on a bike is the 'comfortable option' and although I was really cold, I wasn't really that arsed about spending 5 hours in the hail on Sunday night. I was more pissed off at my shoulders hurting.

Better than walking, anyway Thumbs Up

Or a ZZR in a Gale, two-up with luggage and rucksacks, for 150 miles down the motorway... Smile
