Just 4 weeks after the vfr was totalled my mind is starting to wander towards bikes again. The Cagiva Mito is only a 125 - theres no way anyone can try and kill me on that is there? Its soooo beautiful as well. I'm trying to convince the other half that i'm not gonna use it for commuting (what with now having a car) and i'm not getting the response i was after!
All I can think about at the moment is the perfect apex, gleefully taken kneedown on a red sportsbike, how i'd weight the outside peg to maintain traction at the most obscene of lean angles. The sheer surge of adrenaline when the clutch is dumped and the bike roars forward...
*drool*
I need a bike. Now. Im sure im going mad.

It's something a lot of us have gone through... once you've ridden a bike you'll be stuck with it for your entire life, it's not something that you'll easily ignore.

If my girlfriend told me I wasn't allowed to buy a bike I'd punch her in the face.

Then once I got out of hospital after she'd got her revenge I'd explain how much I want a bike in a gentle manner and explain that life isn't worth living without one, if that didn't work (which it won't) I'd black mail her.

The Mito. 110mph of lightweight extremely flickable 2 stroke goodness with a powerband to make you cream imo. S'as deadly as any 400cc IL4 / 500cc Twin... if not more so due to it's low weight (132kgs).

Superb for throwing around down twisty country roads with yer knee on the deck at every opportunity.

Superb for fiddling with to squeeze every BHP out of it, whilst being a complete moneypit at the same time. You could throw money at it for decades tweaking and tuning it to get more from it... best tuned examples I've seen shift mid50's bhp but cost an absolute fortune to get it there...

Parts - available in abundance from select few companies - After having to perform full rebuild on mine can happily say any part is available within 48hrs max, and full workshop manuals etc are easily obtainable (see https://www.mmra.org.uk/marci/mito )

Plus, choice of two looks! Older MitoMkII (7gear), or Ducati-clone Mito Evo (which personally I hate - much prefer the MkII)

Bigbore kits are out there... when you get bored of that, there are guides for RD350YPVS conversions, XT600 conversions and more...

If buying new and have oodles of cash, hang about and wait for the 525 to hit retail, and get 50-60bhp of 4 stroke Mito...

yeah the 500 looks like my bag.
But thats gonna be the same frame with plenty more power and what with a single cylinder jolting my jaw through my skull i cant imagine it being as much fun.
I got the ultimatum (bike or me) last night so dunno what to do.

She wouldn't dare!

Just explain in a polite manor how biking is such a big part of your life.

When you shag her cum as quickly as possibly whilst deliberately causing pain.

Keep doing that until she gives in.

If asked your 'abit depressed about the bike still'.

I got hit by a van on my 125 and it was written off.

I bought a faired 500 with the insurance money as it had more road presence than my little 125.

But Mr SMIDSY can just as easily hit you on a moped or a huge Harley Fatboy, it's just your luck Sad

Go for whatever bike you fancy Very Happy

Riding is in your blood mate, you can try to ignore it but it will just keep coming back.

Here is a way to simplify things....Do you lay awake thinking about you girl? Or taking that corner with your slider sparking everywhere, the back sliding out just enough to make you go....Uhhhh! as you nail it, you straighten the bike up and nothing feels sooo damn good .

Answer please?
